Seth James Maceyko, age 5, of Cardington, Ohio died Wednesday evening March 20, 2013. He was the joy of his family's life and will be dearly missed. The family will never forget his energy for life, his love for sports, especially football and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In addition, Seth aspired to be a coach like his father, assisting him as manager for the Cardington Lincoln Junior High Girls' Basketball team. He was planning on playing tee-ball this summer with his friends and was looking forward to his first practice on Monday. Those that knew and loved him will forever remember him as an outgoing, energetic, fun-loving little boy with a smile that would light up a room.
Seth was born on November 14, 2007 in Marion, Ohio to Timothy Allen and Patricia Ann (Elkins) Maceyko, both survive. He is also survived by his sister, Alexandra Maceyko and his brother Connor Lambert; Paternal Grandmother, Betty Maceyko, Cardington; Maternal Grandfather, George Elkins, Larue; Aunts, Linda (Dale) Smith, Marion; Karen (Larry) Jenner, Marion; Angela (T.J.) Sheets, Marion; Beth (Keith) Swartz; Uncles, Patrick (Harvetta) Elkins and Kevin Maceyko, both of Tennessee; and numerous Great Aunts, Uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, Tom Maceyko and Maternal Grandmother, Mabel Elkins.
Friends and family may call Monday, March 25, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 5-8 PM at Gompf Funeral Home, 440 South Center Street, Cardington with services being held Tuesday morning at 11:00 AM, at the St Paul Lutheran Church, Cardington with Pastor Steven Dennis officiating.
