Raymond Alan Hofman, 38, died February 18, 2014 in a plane accident in Breckenridge, Texas. Ray was born June 20, 1975 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada to Marilyn Smith and Ron Hofman. He graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1993. Ray began his passion for the oil industry working as a roughneck with Red Hawk in Saskatchewan. His unique abilities were noticed by Packers Plus, which eventually brought him to Midland, Texas in May 2002. His God-given talent, vision, and the support of those who believed in him, led him to start Peak Completion Technologies in December 2003. His passion was not limited to entrepreneurship. He had a deep love for his Savior, Jesus Christ, which he shared through his love for his sons, wife, family and the countless others who knew him. Ray lived fast. He was a racecar driver, a pilot, a cyclist, a horseman, a hunter, a musician, a photographer, a patriot, a competitor, a mentor. He was life. An avid collector, his largest collection, of which he was most proud, are his friends and family. Ray is survived by his wife, Janna Fulfer Hofman; sons, Byron, Justin, Dylan and Jayden; mother, Marilyn Smith (Doug); father, Ron Hofman (Cecile); mother and father-in-law, Susan and Jay Fulfer; brother, Gerrit Hofman (Avrell); sister, Leona Collier (Josh); sister-in-law, Jodi Fulfer Avis (Andrew); grandparents, Alan and Beatrice Ritchie; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Sunday, February 23 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. All are welcome at his burial service Monday, February 24, Resthaven Memorial Park at 11:00 a.m. A memorial service to celebrate his life will also be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Stonegate Fellowship Church, officiated by Pastor Patrick Payton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one of the many charities Ray loved and supported. A special thanks to all our family you know who you are. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be made at www.npwelch.com.

Dear Janna, Byron, Justin, Dylan and Jayden,
My sincerest condolences on your loss. I met Ray just once on business last summer, but he left an impression on me that I will never forget. His kindness, honesty, warmth, and attention to detail are rare, and the world was a better place with him. I wish you the best in these difficult times, and I hope you take some solace knowing that there are many people thinking of you and praying for you.
Sincerely,

Janna and "the boys", your Dad was a great man. I only knew your family from the time we spent at Utah Fastpass, but I was impressed by his love and kindness. There are no words to express my sorrow for your loss. I know that his love for you will last forever. I pray that our Lord will bless you with peace and comfort and good memories in this difficult time.
Love always. Kyle Lavender IHC LifeFlight
