Marion Eliza Belcher-Griffith began her journey through life on March 17, 1958. She was born to the late Reverend William Heth and Johnie Belcher. As a young adult, Marion Belcher-Griffith united in holy matrimony with Charles Larry Griffith and to this union, five children were born. She was employed by Midland Independent School District as a Head Start Teacher and Family Liaison. It was here in Midland that she retired after 25+ years of teaching. When she realized she was blessed with a gift of inspiration to others, upon her retirement, she decided to further her education while working for Wal-Mart and later, Rock House of Midland, Texas. A loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many - young and old, left her beautiful smile, her incredible strength, and her loving and kind soul in the many lives she touched during her journey through life. She made peace with God on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at her residence. Marion was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend William Heth and Johnie Belcher; grandparents, Tony and Eliza Grant; a brother, Tony Belcher; two sisters, Willie Mae Craig and Aletha Belcher-Sauls; a niece, Angela "Stuff" Perkins-Belcher; and a nephew, Demarcus "A.J." Clater. Those continuing to lead her joyous life are: her husband, Charles Larry Griffith; her four daughters, Tarshina Belcher, Tamera Belcher, Talitha Belcher-Alexander (Charles Alexander), and TaRhonda Belcher; her son, Terrance Belcher; her brother, Wayne Belcher of Midland, TX; and her sister, Reverend Dorothy Cunningham of Dallas, TX; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 6:00 p.m., at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service is set for Monday, February 25, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., at True Lite Christian Fellowship, 3001 North A St., Reverend William H. Palmer will officiate. I thought that I would miss you and never find my way. And then I heard the Angel say, "She's with you every day!" The Sun, the moon, the wind, the stars will forever be around; reminding you of the love you shared and the peace she's finally found. You all have truly been blessed with a mother of great character. I love you ladies!! Continued prayers for you, your brother, and extended family.
