Curtis Barber born June 11, 1935, in Stanton, Texas. He died Saturday June 28, in Midland. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather. He was a hard worker, and at the age of 79 still worked for Armstrong Van Lines. He never had much to say, so if he spoke, we all knew we had better listen. He was a simple man that enjoyed time with his family, and friends and watching his westerns. Each one of the family will keep a piece of his legacy in their hearts. Preceding him in death were eight brothers; and two sisters; and his loving wife Roberta. To cherish his memory he leaves his daughter, Rachel Lights of Midland; two sisters, Ethel Daughtery of Stanton, and Hazel Hilliard of Hobbs, New Mexico. Family viewing will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., in the Thomas Chapel Tuesday night. Funeral Services Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Thomas Chapel. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Stanton, under the direction of Thomas Funeral Home.
