Kathy Moore Jackson

Kathy Moore Jackson 63, of Midland passed away at her home after a lengthy illness on June 7. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on June 10, 2014 at Resthaven Memorial Park. She was born on June 1, 1951 in El Paso, Texas. She and her family moved to Midland when she was three years old and she remained here for the rest of her life. Kathy married Mike Jackson in December of 1969, and they remained married for nearly 45 years. Kathy worked for Gulf Oil and Chevron for a total of 35 years. She retired as a technical analyst. In addition to graduating from Midland High School in 1969, she earned an Associate in Applied Science degree from Midland College. Kathy was a devout member of Mid Cities Church, and her strong faith helped sustain her throughout her illness. Kathy is survived by her husband, Mike, her sons ,Clayton and Patrick, and four grandchildren, Juliette and Blakely Jackson of Charleston, South Carolina, and Michael and Brayden Jackson of Midland. She is also survived by her two brothers, Jack Moore of Austin, and Jimmy Moore of Ensenada, Mexico. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Moore. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas 79702.
