Samuel Anderson Blanck

Samuel Anderson Blanck was born Sept. 4th, 1939 to Leon and Tommie Blanck in Enid, Oklahoma. He passed away October 18, 2013 in Abilene. His wife Kay Cayce Blanck preceded him in death in 2011. He spent most of his youth in Wichita Falls, Texas and was involved in leading the Boys' Club there, including learning the trapeze. He graduated from Wichita Falls High in 1957 and spent some time at Midwestern State University before entering the army. After 5 years in the Army Security Agency (ASA) in Europe, he moved to Midland, TX where he spent 35 years in the retail and commercial flooring, remodeling, and construction business. He became a massage therapist in his retirement. He is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Kay Burns (Paul Burns) of Nashville, TN, and Samantha Ann Drasher (Troy Drasher) of Abilene, TX; aunt Betty Anderson of Houston, TX; grandchildren Samuel Mason Tindle, Nicholas Tyler Tindle, Regan Ann Drasher, and Nelson Anderson Burns; and 4 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
