Santiago "Jimmy" Reyes Ramirez went home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday October 17, 2012, at the Hospice Inpatient Unit at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1957, in Midland, TX, to Margaret R. Ramirez and the late, Juan C. Ramirez. Jimmy was raised in Midland and attended Lee High School. He worked for the Midland Reporter Telegram as a printer, until his illness. Jimmy enjoyed music and cooking out with family and friends. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Juan C. Ramirez; a brother, Frank R. Ramirez; and a nephew, Frank "Panchito" Ramirez, Jr. He is survived by his loving mother, Margaret R. Ramirez of Midland; two nephews, Johnny Ramirez and Nicolas Ramirez; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. A rosary will be held tonight, at 7:00 p.m., at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Funeral Mass is set for Monday, October 22, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow to Resthaven Memorial Park. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
