Archie J. Booth, 75, of Eolian, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2014 at home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, July 6th at the Morehart Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Charles Kuhn officiating. Interment will follow in the Shady Grove Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 5th at the Morehart Mortuary Chapel. Archie J. Booth was born May 22, 1939 in Stephens County, Texas, to parents, W.J. Booth and Ola Mae Billingsly Booth Funderburk. Mr. Booth married Sandra Smallwood on May 4, 1972 in Eastland. He was employed for Southwestern Bell as a microwave radio operator for 40 years before his retirement. He was dedicated to his work and loved to hunt. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J. Booth and Ola Mae Booth; and by his brother, Bobby Rector. Mr. Booth is survived by his wife, Sandra Booth of Eolian; five children, Kellie Booth, Susie McCaulley, Kimmie, Lisa, and Diana; two sisters, Rosa Lee Plott and husband Don, and Rena Mae Shack and husband Bill; five grandchildren, D.J. Castleberry, Hunter Venable, Lyric Jurado, Crysta Castleberry, and Shaley McCaulley; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
