Bobbie Ruth Shepard, 81, of Llano, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Llano. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Sunday, May 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, May 12, 2014 at First United Methodist Church in Midland with Dr. Tim Walker officiating and Pastor Leslie S. Tomlinson assisting. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Bobbie was born September 15, 1932 to Addie and Robert Willis in West Monroe, LA. Bobbie went to school at Our Lady of The Lake Catholic School in San Antonio, Texas. She married Frank Shepard, Sr. on June 23, 1951 at Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, CO. They celebrated 50 years in Hawaii with all of their children and grandchildren. They were married for 62 years. Bobbie worked at the First National Bank and The Commercial Bank Trusts. She was involved as a lay reader and leader for the Walks to Emmaus. She was religious and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Midland. She once made a trip with a church group to Jerusalem. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Bobbie's greatest joy were her kids and grandkids. Survivors include husband, Frank Shepard, Sr. of Llano; son, Frank Shepard, Jr. of Midland; son, Robert Shepard and wife Sylvia of Midland; daughter, Janet Sites and husband Ralph of Midland; son, Tommy Shepard and wife DeAnne of Willis, TX; daughter, Linda Duffee and husband Roger of Cedar Park, TX; 9 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Randy McAnally of Midland; Ron Murphy of Carrollton, TX; Walt Coleman of Little Rock, AR; Dub Stocker of Ft. Worth, TX; Jim Cone of Llano, TX; and Buzz Costner of Llano, TX.
