She was born January 15, 1941 in Pecos, Texas, to Thomas Richard and Lenore McKenzie. Dotsy lived in Fort Stockton until her junior year in high school. She graduated from Clinton High School and attended Ole Miss. A true Texan, she gradually made her way back to West Texas. She married Jim Murray on September 24, 1983. They moved to Big Spring from Big Lake in 2002. She was a homemaker and an accomplished artist, both on canvas and people's lives, and she loved all animals. She was a friend of Bill W. for over 31 years.
