Gerry Paul (Baltensperger) Baldwin, 79, of Sealy, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 peacefully in his sleep. A private family service will be held on September 12, 2015 to honor Gerry. Gerry was born in Flurlingen Schaffhausen, Zurich, Switzerland on June 23, 1936. He married Judy Guthrie in 1970. They were married 26 years when she passed away in 1996. In 1998, he met Patsy Holguin and they were married in 2000. Gerry came to the United States for the first time in 1958. His lifelong career was being an Executive Chef. He won numerous awards and worked in London, Arizona, Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Midland, and Houston Texas, St Louis, and many more. He also was an accomplished pilot. He and Patsy lived in Midland until 2010, when they moved to Sealy, Texas. Gerry enjoyed traveling, dancing, listening to country music, working on his computer, and visiting with family. Gerry is survived by his wife, Patsy; brothers, Max and Peter of Switzerland; stepdaughter, Vicki of Cypress; and stepson, Steve (Terri) of Denver City, Texas; and by grandchildren, Michelle (James), Brad (Katie), Summer, Paige, and Logan. Gerry also has four great granddaughters, Jaeden, Hailey, Lilly, and Taylor; and many more relatives and friends. Gerry was preceded in death by his father, Georg (1988); his mother, Emmy (1976); his brother, George (1996); and by his sister, Hildegard (2008). The family wishes to thank Dr. Krishnaswamy, Lena, Bea, and Gentiva Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gentiva Hospice - 10110 W Sam Houston Parkway South - Suite 110 - Houston TX 77099.
