Harold L. Allen passed away on January 23, 2014. He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on July 5, 1948 to parents Claud and Margaret Allen. When he was a child, they moved to Lubbock where he was raised. He was employed with the Midland Central Appraisal District for 36 years at the time of his death. Harold was known for his quick wit, weird sense of humor, ability to tell a story, and his love for riding his Harley motorcycle. He was a hard worker, a caring person, and could always be counted on to help out a friend. Harold leaves behind his wife of 35 years, Peggy; a daughter, Brandy (Scott) Garner; and by a son, Whitney Allen and his girlfriend, Jacquie Moore. He loved his grandkids and was a great "PaPa" to granddaughters Tehya Davis, Alexandrea Allen, and Jacee and Ashlyn Pownell; and grandsons, Brayden Lee Allen and Ethan Freeman Garner, all of Midland, Texas. He also leaves behind nieces, nephews, several cousins, and numerous friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Carol Heard. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home at 2508 N Big Spring, Midland Texas. His final resting place will be in Konawa, Oklahoma. Funeral Services are under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home.
