Janice Trotter-Martinez, 57, of Midland, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving husband and family at Midland Memorial Hospital. Janice was born May 19, 1958 in Long Beach, Californai to the late Robert and Patricia Trotter. She was raised and educated in Joplin, Missouri. She met and later married Daniel H. Martinez in 1999. Janice enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, fixing puzzles, and being around animals. But most of all, her enjoyment was spending time with her husband traveling and visiting casinos. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Janice was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Daniel H. Martinez; two step-sons, Daniel Louis Martinez and Mathew John Paul Martinez; step-daughter, Victoria Rodriguez, all of Midland, Texas; six brothers, Robert Trotter, John Trotter, Tennessee Trotter, James Trotter, David Trotter, and Sargent Williams, all of Missouri; five sisters, Debra Rawlings, Nina Smith, Terri Hammontree, Margie Allen, and Machelle (Mickey) Trotter; seven grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Rosary will be tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Funeral mass is set for Friday, March 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. You were always special to me and my sons especially to Rue.
Though we were miles away from eachother I thought of you often and prayed you were happy in your life and the bad times were in the past. I loved you always and that love will be forever .
