In loving memory of Jesus Jose Garciaroiz, who is now with our Lord and Savior. He lost his life on August 15, 2014 due to kidney failure. Before coming to the United States from Mexico, he was in the Mexican Military. He loved to travel, which led him to become a truck driver for over 40 years. His job took him all over the country and he loved to share his experiences from all the places he visited. Jesus was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico on December 2, 1949. He lived in Pecos for 20 years before moving to Midland, Texas in 1993. He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Magdalena Rede Garciaroiz, and his son, Victor Joel Rede. He is survived by his four sons, Jesse Garciaroiz, Joe Garciaroiz, Mark Garciaroiz, and Charlie Garciaroiz, all of Midland, and numerous grandchildren. A rosary will be held Monday, August 18, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, with Father Rodriguez officiating. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers for the service will be Jose Marmolejo, Freddy Reyes, Juan Ramirez, Fernando Barraza, Manuel Rede, and Arturo Valenzuela.
