Larry M. Madrid, 71, of Midland, passed away peacefully to be with his loving mother and his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He was born April 18, 1943, in Grandfalls, Texas, to the late Juan and Clara Madrid. Larry was raised and educated in Midland. He had worked in construction all his life. Larry had been a man of very little but gave so much to others. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and three sisters, Felicha Madrid, Elvira Madrid, and Amelia Madrid. He is survived by his loving family; brothers, Jesse Madrid, Manuel Madrid, Charlie Madrid, Luis Madrid, and Oscar Madrid all of Midland, Texas; four sisters, Maggie Madrid of Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Cortez of Arlington, Texas, and Gracie Madrid and Martha J. Calixto both of Midland, Texas; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins. Rosary will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Chapel. Funeral Mass is set for Friday, August 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
