Our beloved Maria Hernandez, 29, went home to be with her savior Jesus Christ. Maria was a strong woman of faith. She inspired and touched the lives of many. She was a mother to one precious little girl Delilah, whom she loved with all her heart. She was a daughter and a friend to her single mother whom she honored with simple gestures such as flowers and kind words. She was a sister, an aunt, and a friend to many. One of her greatest joys in life was spending time with her daughter, her siblings, mother, and nephews. She loved flowers and plants, and she also had a heart for animals. Maria loved her church where she actively served as a Sunday school teacher, a small groups assistant leader. She did everything with joy and a big smile, knowing her reward came from God. Maria was employed by CNB as a Capital Advantage Assistant for over 5 years. She was loved and supported greatly by her co workers and supervisors. She will always be remembered for her kindness, for the love she gave, and for her strong faith in God. Maria was an example and an inspiration to all who met her. She will be greatly missed, treasured and loved by her family, friends, and church family forever. She is survived by her mother, Marisela Salazar; her daughter, Delilah Hernandez; her brothers, Danny, Jesus, and Jose Hernandez; her sister, and brother in law, Guadalupe and Ruben Aguirre; her nephews, grandparents, aunts, and uncles. A funeral service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. at Centro Familiar Cristiano Vida. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel. Family messages and condolences may be emailed to or you can visit our website at
