A funeral is not a day in a lifetime; it is a lifetime in a day. Nellie P. Villafranco, 74, of Midland, Texas, born on December 28, 1940 in Pep, Texas, passed away on July 14, 2015 in Midland. She is survived by her husband, Paul P. Villafranco of Midland; three sons, Paul Villafranco of Midland, Edward Villafranco of Midland, and Marcos Villafranco of Midland; six daughters, Betty Leos of Littlefield, Texas, Christina Rodriguez of Midland, Rebecca Vela of Houston, Texas, Victoria Ibarra of Midland, Virginia Villafranco of Midland, and Jessica Villafranco of Midland; four brothers, Robert Prado of Midland, Fred Prado of Midland, Daniel Prado of Odessa, Texas, and Johnny Prado of Midland; and by three sisters, Phyllis Esquivel of Blanco, Texas, Lydia Thomason of Midland, and Sylvia Bill of Midland, Texas. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and five great, great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father and mother; brother, Joe Prado; son, Antonio Villafranco; grandson, Matthew Adam Ibarra; and great granddaughter, Lillian Abigail Gutierrez. Viewing will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at The American Heritage Chapel. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at The American Heritage Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Midland, followed by a burial at American Heritage Cemetery & Funeral Home, 4100 N. FM-1788, Midland, Texas, 79707. 432-563-9767.
