Nicholas Ryan Gutierrez was granted his angel wings and went to rest in the arms of our Lord on June 6, 2014. Nicholas was born December 22, 1988. Nicholas graduated from Midland High School class of 2007. He worked at the corporate office of Kent Companies. Nicholas' kind heart and beautiful smile warmed everyone's heart. With Nicholas' passing we remind others that his life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss him every day, especially his winning smile. He will forever remain in our hearts. With his courage he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He truly enjoyed golfing and passing time with his brother, family, and friends. He loved and was a true fan of his Texas Rangers! Through his life and great spirit, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be a part of his life. Nicholas is survived by his loving parents, Hector and Gigi Gutierrez; brother and best friend, Isaac Gutierrez; maternal grandparents, Ramon & Tencha Contreras; paternal grandmother, Juanita Sanchez; and paternal grandparents, Joel Sr and Caroline Gutierrez; uncles and aunts, Tony & Alicia Contreras, Enrique & Tina Bautista, Cynthia Bautista, Elaine Gutierrez, Sammy Moreno, Alonzo Gutierrez, Joel Jr & Candy Gutierrez, Naomi Gutierrez, and Lucy & Anthony Ventura; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal great-grandparents, Margarito and Eivoria Sanchez; maternal great-grandparents, Jesus and Elia Contreras; and uncle Adolfo Moreno. Honorary Pallbearers: Gabriel Bautista, Michael Contreras, Brennan Bautista, Chris Garnto, Rolando Gallegos, Austin Lessar, Alex Salazar, and Gilbert Gutierrez III. A memorial rosary will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel. Memorial mass is set for Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Swamy Lakkineni officiating. Memorial service is under the direction of Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home and Chapel.
