Ruth A. Wright, 90, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born December 31, 1923 in Higdon, Arkansas to parents Chester and Mayme Allison. She married Thomas Ladell Wright in May, 1945 and lived in Midland, Texas where, together, they were members of Kellview Baptist Church. Ruth spent many years as a department manager with Sears. Her fondest memories were of the many family gatherings in Arkansas during holidays and summer vacations. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a sister, Imo Tedder. She is survived by her son, John B. Wright and his wife, Jodell; grandsons, Bradley Wright and Joel Wright all of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, J.H. Allison and his wife, Helen and Harold Allison and his wife, Lenora of Morrilton, Arkansas; her sister, Martha Stroman and husband, Bill of Bartlett, Tennessee; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the nurses, chaplain and social workers of Odyssey Hospice. The graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
