Sherry Bane, 72, of Midland passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Sherry was born in Denver, CO on June 23, 1942 to Glenn and Ruby Bressler. Sherry's passion was volunteering at the Mission Center Adult Day Service. The Mission Center is an adult day care focused on helping individuals to promote the health and well-being of the Permian Basin's elderly and disabled adults in a safe, enriching environment through senior services. In addition, she would sit with the elderly in their homes to provide care and comfort to those in need. She prepared meals and served others despite her own personal pain and mobility issues. Sherry was a prayer warrior. She was one of the first people to get names and situations to intercessory prayer teams. Sherry loved animals, which is something she shared with Saint Francis of Assisi. She enjoyed reading and always had a book and eventually her Kindle with her at all times. She loved to keep informed about current events and informed friends and family about important topics. Sherry attended Mass at St Ann's and St Stephen's Catholic Churches. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2014, at St. Ann's Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Sherry is preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild. She is survived by two sons, their wives, four grandchildren, and one great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Mission Center Adult Day Service in Midland or the SPCA Midland Pet Clinic.
