Susan Lynn Clark passed away June 13, 2014 after a short illness due to complications from renal failure. She was preceded in death by her mother, Madora Morrow, and her father, John M. Clark. Born in Midland, Texas in 1957, Susan graduated from Lee High School in 1974 and the University of New Mexico in 1988 with distinction. She became a permanent resident of Taos, New Mexico in 1988. Following the death of her father, she joined John M. Clark, Inc. as Vice-President and served on the Board of Directors. Susan was a talented artist who taught herself the techniques, as well as the history and science of the art she created. She was especially known for her handmade paper work and her slumped glass titles, tableware and jewelry. Until her last moments, her creativity continued to evolve with her free and loving spirit expressed in each piece. She is survived by her son, Luis Vargas; his fiancée, Paula Glatan; granddaughter, Solidea Suzanna Vargas; step-granddaughter, Aurelia Cebada; and step-mother, Rosamaria Ellis Clark of Taos, New Mexico; a brother, Roger Brian Clark and his wife Lynne Clark; nieces, Heather Henderson, and Amanda Peters; nephew, Gable Clark of Midland, Texas; and nephew, Joshua Clark of Lubbock, Texas. There was a celebration of life held in Taos, New Mexico on July 25, 2014. Arrangements by Rivera Family Funeral Home.
