He was a hard working engineer tech in the oil and gas industry, but his favorite pastime was at home with his family enjoying their game nights. He was a quiet, but very loving man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was an avid collector of rocks, minerals, and oil corporation memorabilia. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Hospice Midland and the 7th floor nurses at Midland Memorial Hospital for their exceptional care of Joseph. He is survived by his wife, Carrie Severino of Midland, Texas; sons, Joseph S. Severino, Jr. of Midland, Texas and James A. Severino and his wife, Julie M. of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Dina Marie Severino Prebeck of Buffalo, New York; grandson, Samuel J. Severino of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Lillian Amoia of Buffalo, New York, Sharon Schiesl of Mission Viejo, California, and Pamela Burks of Gold Canyon, Arizona; brother, Ralph Vincent Severino, Jr.; stepmother, Marilyn Severino of Gold Canyon, Arizona; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Jenny Severino and sister, Penelope Tucker. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
