Manuel C. Hinojos, 68, of Midland, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on June 23, 2014, at Midland Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 22, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas, to the late Amelio and Marcelina Hinojos. He was raised in Midland. Manuel met and later married Maria Patino in 1991. He was a professional mechanic most of his life. Manuel worked for Big D Equipment Company for many years until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his family at home. Manuel attended Our Lady of Guadalupe. He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joe Hinojos, Vicente Hinojos, Juan Hinojos, and Eusebio Hinojos. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary P. Hinojos; son, Manuel Hinojos Jr. and three daughters, Corina Hinojos, Christina Hinojos, and Cathy Ramos all of Midland. He is also survived by two brothers, Phil Hinojos and Lee Hinojos both of Midland; three sisters, Tomasa Martinez and Ilejia Martinez both of Midland, and Amelia Bonilla of Lewisville, Texas; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A rosary will be held tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Gate Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral mass is set for Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Funeral mass is entrusted to the direction of Heavenly Gate Funeral Home. Family messages and condolences may be emailed to: email@example.com.
