Davis Mary Doyletta Davis, 70, of Midland passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. The family will be accepting guests at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2014. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with Gilbert Bella officiating. Doyletta was born on August 4, 1943, in Weatherford, Texas to Doyle Edwin and Edna Charlyn Collins. She worked with Exxon until she retired in the 90s. She loved being involved in her church and working as a Foster Grandparent with MISD, as well as reading, needlepoint, painting, writing, and collecting many items near and dear to her heart, but most of all she loved visiting and laughing with her friends and family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandsons to whom she is affectionately known as "Meemom" and her beloved dog and best friend Biggio. She was the best mom, Meemom and friend to so many, who she would always lend a helping hand or ear and brighten their day with love and a smile when it was needed most. She is survived by three loving daughters, Michelle Arellano and husband, Rick, of Midland, Tanya Davis Miller and husband, Gary, of Midland, and Shonda Carter and husband, John, of Fort Worth; two grandsons, Billy Davis and fiancé, Amy Shelkey, and Gage Davis, all of Midland; and numerous friends. Doyletta is preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Edna Collins; brothers, Nathan Collins, Charles Collins, and Jimmy Collins; her ex-husband and best friend, Bob Davis; and son Brett Davis. The family would like to thank Hospice of Midland for all their comfort, support and help. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of Midland, PO Box 2621, Midland, Texas, 79702. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences may be made at www.npwelch.com.
