Mary Lou Wohler Scott, 78, of Midland, passed peacefully on Sunday, July 27, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary was born in Randolph, Kansas on May 6, 1936 to Paul and Emma Wohler. She married Dow Scott in 1956 and began her new life as a loving, supporting wife. She worked for many years beside Dow as his assistant in his Chiropractic Clinic. She loved attending special events of her children and grandchildren, playing cards and doing for others. Mary is preceded in death by her oldest son, J Dow Scott III. She is survived by her husband, Dr. J Dow Scott; daughter, Susan Glasgow; and grandson, Tucker of Midland; daughter, Toya Scott; and grandson Matthew of Midland; son, Bob Scott and his wife, Sandy; and granddaughters, Kristi and Katie of Orange, Texas; grandson, Will Scott and his wife, Rusti; and great-granddaughters, Eden and Zoe of Midland; daughter-in-law, Lisa Scott; and granddaughter, Lindsay Dickson of Midland; sister, Alyce Springer of Randolph, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She expressed her wishes for us to thank her doctor of many years, Dr. Raj Patel; Marisol and Dr. Rastogi of Allison Cancer Center and the many special caring people with Home Hospice who all gave her such great care. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be donated to Home Hospice, 200 W. Illinois, Ste 190 Midland, Texas, 79701; Gifts of Hope at Allison Cancer Center, 400 N. Garfield, Ste 100, Midland, Texas, 79701.
