Andres "Andy" Ybarra Sr., 58, of Midland went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Midland Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 1, 1950 in Austin, TX to Antonia and the late Victor Ybarra.

Andy was raised and educated in Midland.

He met and later married Micaela "Mickey" Natividad on November 24, 1974 in Midland.

Andy worked for MISD for twenty-five years until his retirement. He was currently working for St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

He was a die-hard Cowboy fan and a devout Christian.

Andy loved to spend his time with family and especially his grandchildren.

He was an active member of Primera Iglesia Bautista.

Andy is survived by: his wife, Micaela N. Ybarra of Midland, TX; three sons: Chuni Natividad, Israel Natividad, and Andy Ybarra Jr., all of Midland, TX; two daughters: Mini Munoz of Deer park, TX, and Raquel Ybarra of Midland, TX; two brothers: Pete Ybarra and Jose Luis Ybarra, both of Midland, TX; three sisters: Dominga Sanchez, Olivia Ybarra, and Maggie Ybarra, all of Midland, TX; his mother Antonia Ybarra of Midland, TX. Nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, one uncle, five aunts, and numerous nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Victor Ybarra and four brothers: Catarino Ybarra, Jesse Ybarra, Danny Ybarra, and John Ybarra.

A Funeral Service will be held on today at 11:00 AM at Primera Iglesia Bautista. Interment will follow at Serenity Memorial Gardens.
