William Blaine Hodges, 62, of El Paso, went home to be with his Heavenly Father, on Tuesday, November 1, 2011, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 31,1949 in Alpine, Texas to Rufus C. and Loreta Hodges. He was raised in San Angelo and Midland, where he graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. Blaine was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army after serving abroad in Germany. Blaine was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and water skiing, but most of all fishing. Blaine was a member of St. Mark's UMC in El Paso. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother & friend. He was deeply loved by all and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his father, Rufus and two brothers, Weldon and Terry Hodges. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hodges; his son, Chris Hodges and wife Celina; his son, Bryan Hodges; and his stepsons, Jimmy and Ryan Carter; grandchildren, Christopher, Trinity and Troy Hodges; mother, Loreta Hodges; brother, Ken Hodges and wife Chong Hye; sister Ann Wilton and husband Kevin; and sister Delores Beralek and husband Larry. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011, at Resthaven Memorial Park in Midland at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the or Hospice in El Paso, Texas.
