Ellis was preceded in death by his parents and his adored grandson, Jaison Dane Braulick. Survivors include his wife, Janelle Britton, of Burnet, Texas; his son, James Hoyt Britton and his wife, Tracey, along with their children Dylan and Lauren of Aledo, Texas; his daughter, Juli Wehmeyer and her husband, Robert, along with their children, Britton and Chandler of Austin, Texas; his sister, Judith Havins and her husband, William, of Pleasanton, Texas; and several treasured nieces and nephews. Ellis's life will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, quick wit, elaborate storytelling abilities, passion for sports, and most importantly his unconditional love for his family. A memorial service to honor Ellis will be held on Thursday, October 4, at 1:30 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 301 E. Graves St., Burnet, Texas. Another service will be performed on Friday, October 5, at 3:00 p.m., at Evergreen Cemetery pavilion in Stanton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations be made in Ellis' memory, to , Friends of Hospice, 209 Fox Crossing, Burnet, Texas 78611 or First Methodist Church, 301 E.
