Bryan Bradford Burgin, 16, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 6, 2012. Visitation will be all day, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the funeral home with the family present from 3:00p.m. ~ 5:00p.m. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Christian Faith Center. Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home/Sherwood Way. Bryan was born in Arlington, Texas on November 8, 1996. He grew up in Water Valley and attended school there. He also attended school at Lee Jr. High and schools in Arlington. He was a great athlete and played sports for Water Valley High School and Lee Jr. High. Bryan was a straight A student and a member of the National Jr. Honor Society. Bryan was very devoted and took great pride in all that he did. He was also a Cub Scout and a member of the Carlsbad First Baptist Church. In his spare time, Bryan could be found fishing, playing sports with his friends or playing video games. He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Coy Bradford and parental great-grandparents, William Cleve Burgin and Berthal Mae Burgin. He is survived by his father and step-mom, James Burgin and wife Alicia of Arlington; his mom and step-father, Lynda "Cricket" Lynn McClain and husband Roger; his brother, Jayce Christopher Lewis of San Angelo; his sister Sophie Isabella Burgin of Arlington; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Lynda Lee Tyler of San Angelo; his paternal grandparents, Jim Burgin and wife Tina of Dallas; Teresa Burgin of Arlington; his maternal great-grandmother Len Bradford of Carlsbad, many loved step grandparents and step-in-laws along with many, many wonderful friends. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the ICU staff at Shannon Medical Center, Dr. Dubai and Dr. Duarte for all the special care given to Bryan.
