Ed Nestor will live on in the memories of all who knew him--a true "gentle" man and a faithful soul. It was a privilege to know him and to share membership in the Secular Franciscan family with him.

Ed was always such a gentle, generous, and courteous soul. It was a pleasure to have had him as a friend in Nacogdoches, and as a companion in Heaven! As a Secular Franciscan, Ed was truely one who took our Rule of Life seriously, going from Gospel to Life and back again in humility, strength, and Joy! Both He and Jeanne were treasures of Nacogdoches!

Ed Nestor was also a Secular Franciscan since the early 1950's. He was an example of the life of St. Francis, walking the prayer daily. He attended EVERY funeral at our church, attended mass EVERY day, ALWAYS gave me a hug. We missed him when he moved to Midland. Our prayer for his family is to hold Ed's peace in their hearts.
