MOUNT AIRY — Mrs. Betty Ring, 82, of 132 Hilda Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 9, 2013, at Central Continuing Care. Mrs. Ring was born May 4, 1931, in Stokes County, the daughter of the late Drew Manuel and Cordie Lee Roberts Collins. She was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Bernie Ring of the home; a sister, Jean Malone of Nashville, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Darrell Price. Burial will follow in the Brims Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Moody Funeral Home. My husband and I are so sad to hear of Betty's passing. Although we only knew her a short time, we enjoyed our talks with both you at Central Continuing Care. I'm sure my mother, Edith, will miss having Betty as her roommate. May God be with you during your time of grief.
