HILLSVILLE, Va. — Elizabeth L. (Granny Orange) Orange, 84, of Hillsville, Va.,went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013. Mrs. Orange was born in Indian Valley, Va., on Sept. 7, 1929, to the late Rev. Hobert and Olie Francis Hollandsworth Gallimore. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Orange; and siblings, Blanche Marion, the Rev. Earvin Gallimore, Archie Gallimore, and Astor Gallimore. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Daryl Cassell of Hillsville, James and Shirley Orange of Mount Airy, Bonnie and Jim Walker of Hillsville, and Jerry and Sue Orange of Blue Ridge, Va.; 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; siblings and their spouses, Louise and Lucas Farmer of Hillsville, and Artie and Virginia Gallimore of Cana; and sisters-in-law, Verta Mae Gallimore of Fancy Gap,Va., and Lois Gallimore of Laurel Fork. Beth was a faithful member and trustee of Skyline Independent Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Skyline Independent Baptist Church at 1065 Keno Road, Fancy Gap, Va., on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Garry Allen, Associate Pastor James Orange, and Preacher Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Memorial Cemetery. Elizabeth will lie in state at the church on Friday, two hours prior to the funeral service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
