PILOT MOUNTAIN — Emma Deane Barber Ayers, 83, of Surry County, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. She was born on Dec. 8, 1929, to the late Roy Lee Barber and Essie Wall Barber. Surviving to cherish her memory are two brothers, Grady "Bud" Barber and wife, Glenda, and Larry Barber; three sisters; Carol Barber, Judy Duggins and Glenda Styers and husband, Ken; one sister-in-law; Margaret Barber; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jim Barber; and one sister, Audrey Ingram. Funeral service will be at Cox-Needham Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ron Chamblin. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mt.
