Gary Dale Inman

MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Gary Dale Inman, 64, of 234 Inman Road, Mount Airy, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born on Jan. 20, 1949, in Surry County, to Myrtle Hiatt Inman and the late Clarence Bill Inman. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama, having retired from the Hanes Corporation. Mr. Inman was a member of the Pilot Mountain Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Aaron Pardue of East Bend; a son and daughter-in-law, Jayme and Vickie Inman of Cana, Va., three grandchildren, Nicholas Inman of Cana, Va., and Ashley Pardue and Austin Pardue of East Bend; mother, Myrtle Hiatt Inman of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Dana I. and Buck Goins of Mount Airy; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwain and Stella Inman of Mount Airy, and Kevin and Jennifer Inman of Hickory; former wife and friend, Bonita Smoot of Mount Airy; numerous nieces and nephews; and a "special canine companion," Mollie. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends between 6 and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
