Gladys Scott

LINCOLN, Ala. — A memorial service for Gladys Irene Scott, 84, will be held in Mount Airy to be announced by the family. Mrs. Scott died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Scott was born July 29, 1929, in White Plains, N.C. She was a resident of Lincoln and was a member of West End Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents, Evin and Janie Prim; two sisters, Annie Smith and Mamie Stafford; two brothers E.J. Prim and Bill Prim; two grandsons, Christopher Kringle Scott and Jonathan Shane Scott; two nephews, Stanley (Butch) Stafford and Tommy Prim; two nieces, Debbie Stafford and Charlotte Henry Pharr; and three brothers-in-law, Shine Bowman, Jackie L. Henry and Jimmy Stafford. She is survived by her husband, Harvey G. Scott of Lincoln; one daughter, Linda Kay Scott; one son, Roger Dale Scott, both of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Thomas Scott of Georgia, Bobbie Morgan and Robert Turner of Lincoln; nine great-grandchildren, Riley McClung, Logan Turner, Brodie Turner, Hunter Scott, Zarron Scott, Hunter Morgan, Gracie Morgan, Hughston Griffin and Tyler Scott; two sisters, Christine Bowman of High Point, N.C., and Coleen Henry of Statesville, N.C.; one brother, R.C. Prim of Mount Airy; one sister-in-law, Polly Prim of Mount Airy; four nieces, Dale Bowman of High Point, Jackie (Thomas) Roberts and Peggy (Earl) Reid of Tennessee, Becky Prim of Mount Airy; five nephews, Donnie Porter, John (Butch) (Kay) Bowman of High Point, Tony Prim of Virginia, Stoney Stafford and Johnny Stafford of Florida; and a host of great nieces and nephews. Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home provided these services.
