JERRY BEESON

PILOT MOUNTAIN — Jerry Beeson, 76, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013. He was born on April 26, 1937, to the late Claude Roosevelt Beeson and Era Smith Beeson. Jerry was a self-employed contractor and served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antiques. Surviving to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Manetta Beeson; two daughters and son-in-law, Stephanie Beeson Pardue and husband, Craig, and Missy B. Beeson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry Dwayne Beeson and wife, Stella, Dwight C. Beeson and wife, Melissa; four grandchildren, Dezere Beeson, Victor Simpler, Brandon Beeson, and Ashley Beeson; two sisters, Oglee Stack and June Hester; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Magalene Beeson Brandies; and one brother, James Beeson. Funeral services will be on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Cox-Needham Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Brim's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery following the services. Floral tributes will be accepted or memorials may be made to Sydnor Street Residential Home or the Victory Junction Gang.
