MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Theodore Clinton Gravley, 87, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Golden Living Center. He was born in Surry County on June 10, 1926, to the late John Daniel and Lula Frances Montgomery Gravley. Mr. Gravley was retired from Beroth Oil Company and was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, LuAnne and Steve Hill of Claudville, Va.; two grandchildren and spouse, Stacey Shepherd and Chuck of Claudville, Va., Erin Hill of Charlottesville, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Kaden Shepherd and Jason Shepherd both of Claudville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gravley was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thomas Gravley. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bud Cameron officiating. Burial will follow in Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, until time of the service at Salem United Methodist Church.
