Brockley Garfield Lynch

Our loving sweet Daddy and Husband has gone to be with Jesus. Brockley Garfield Lynch, age 84, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2014 at his home. He was born in Stokes County, on February 18, 1930, to the late James Millard Lynch and Elsie Smith Lynch. He retired from Armtex, Inc. after 42 years of service as a supervisor and was a farmer. Brockley was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a kind-spirited friend. He served as a deacon at Tru-Way Baptist Church for 20 years. Brockley is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Irene Johnson Lynch; three daughters and sons-in-law, Robin L. Bennett and husband, Doug, Sandra East and husband, Harvey, Barbara Redman and husband, Eddie; one son, David Michael Lynch and wife, Jane; a sister, Magaline Lynch Hiatt; a brother, Jimmy R. Lynch; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Brandy Aletha Lynch; and his grandson's wife, Candace Redman; and four brothers, James Romey Lynch, Millard Eugene Lynch, William Powell Lynch, and Billy Gray Lynch. A graveside service will be conducted at Westfield Friends Cemetery on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. with Bro. Darrell Price of Tru-Way Baptist Church, Bro. Rickey Rogers and Rev. Doug Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends at Cox-Needham Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Samuel Newsome for the years of kind, compassionate, and loving care given to Brockley; to Dr. Susan Hines with the Derrick Davis Regional Cancer Center at Forsyth Hospital; and to the staff of Pilot Mountain division of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care. We especially thank his nurse, Sabrina McKeithan. Special thanks is also extended to Joy Essick for her love and compassion in taking care of Mr. Lynch and his wife for the last five years.
