MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Ray Clifton "R.C." Prim, 76, of 117 Hedge Pin Lane, Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born Sept. 6, 1937, in Surry County, to the late Ervin Theodore Prim Sr. and Janie Atkins Prim. He was retired from Greenwood and Charles Enterprize and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mr. Prim was a member and past master of Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616 AF&AM. He was also a member of the Galax Moose Lodge. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca Ann "Becky" Prim of Mt. Airy; a granddaughter and husband, Misty Prim Hull and Charlie of Mt. Airy; great-grandchildren, Austin Chase Branch and Grayson Luke Hull, both of Mount Airy; two sisters, Coleen Henry of Statesville, and Christine Bowman of High Point; and a brother and sister-in-law, Ricky and Kathy Beasley of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Prim was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Prim, a daughter, Teresa Prim, and a son, Thomas Prim, two brothers, Dixie and Ervin. T. Prim Jr. and three sisters, Annie Martin, Mamie Stafford and Irene Scott. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Terry Watson. Burial will follow in the Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. Full Masonic Burial Rites will be conducted at the graveside by Round Peak Masonic Lodge #616. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moody Funeral Home.
