GASTONIA, N.C. — Mr. Norman Gray Flynn, Sr., 76, of Gastonia, died Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Peak Resources in Gastonia. He was born July 3, 1937 in Surry County, NC, a son of the late Claude and Jettie Scott Flynn. Mr. Flynn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed. Survivors of Mr. Flynn include his wife of 43 years, Lillie Faile Flynn of Gastonia; sons, John Johnson and wife Aida of IL; Norman Gray Flynn, II of Gastonia; Claude Isaac Flynn of Pelzer, SC; granddaughters, Veronika and Autumn Flynn of Gastonia; Benita Flynn of Canada; step-grandson, Zeiko. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, and daughters-in-law, Elaine Goins Flynn and Valerie Flynn. A service to celebrate Mr. Flynn's life will be held 3:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 22. 2014 in Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia with Rev. Chris Faile officiating.
