Arvin, Roger Jay - Ghent  
GHENT, Ky.-Roger Jay Arvin, 75, of Ghent, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky. Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton with the Rev. Graham Reynolds officiating. Masonic Services were held Sunday, May 17. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton with Military Honors presented by the Carrollton American Legion Post No. 41. Mr. Arvin was born on October 24, 1939, in Carrollton, Carroll County, the son of the late Hugh Arvin and Lora Carrie O'Neal Arvin. He was retired from Fenton Rigging as an Iron Worker Superintendent with Local United Iron Workers of America No. 44 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a member of the Ghent Baptist Church, the Carrollton Masonic Lodge No. 134 F. & A.M. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the past Commander of the American Legion Post No. 41 in Carrollton. He was an avid hunter. Survivors include his wife, Karen Sue Holliday Arvin of Ghent; three daughters, Sherma Lee Arvin of Carrollton, Tracy Carol Vories of Ghent and Sally Elizabeth Shukitis of Carrollton; a stepson, Charles M. McCulley of Madison, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, John Vernon Arvin, William Harold Arvin, Luther Arvin, Eugene Arvin and Paul Thomas Arvin; and two sisters, Carrie Doll and Noni Watson. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the Carroll County Animal Support Group. Pallbearers were Billy Arvin, Herbert Arvin, Frankie Arvin, Roger T. Arvin, Zach Beckham and Charles McCulley.

Carrico, William Scott - Carrollton  
CARROLLTON, Ky.-William Scott Carrico, 40, of Carrollton died Monday, May 11, 2015, at his home. Funeral services were held, Saturday, May 16, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Allison Brindley Carrico; a daughter, Pamala Carrico; a son, Mason Carrico; a stepson, Caleb Oeffinger; his parents, William O. "Bill" and Ann Hendricks Carrico all of Carrollton.

WARSAW, Ky.-Donald Gene Jones, 71, of Warsaw, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Providence Health Care of Gallatin in Warsaw. Graveside Services were held Monday, May 18, at the Ghent Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Jones officiating. Arrangements were entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Jones and Myrtle Barnhill Jones.

Miller, Minnie Rose - Carrollton  
CARROLLTON, Ky.-Minnie Rose Miller, 69, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. Funeral Services were held Tuesday, May 19, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton. Survivors include her husband, James Allen Miller of Carrollton; two daughters, Stephanie Garvey and Gloria Belcher, both of Carrollton; a son, Chris Miller of Carrollton; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Kidd and Rachel Knott Kidd.
