CARROLLTON, Ky. – Ashton Blake Stephenson,  14, of Carrollton, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends at the Norton Children's Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
He was born on Dec. 30, 2003, in Louisville, Jefferson County, Ky., the son of  Shawn Michael Stephenson and Victoria "Torie" Jo Bond Stephenson of Carrollton.  He was currently an eighth grade student at Carroll County Middle School.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton and was active in the Youth Group. 
He loved baseball and basketball and participated with the Carroll County Panther Baseball Team, The Carroll County Panther Basketball Team, The Kentucky Panthers' Baseball Team and The Kentucky United Nation Association. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, raising beef cattle and spending time with his family.
He will be missed by his parents of Carrollton; two brothers, Aden and Braden Stephenson of Carrollton; two sisters, Alexis and Hannah Stephenson, both of Carrollton; his maternal grandmother, Teresa Jo Adams Bond of Carrollton; his maternal grandfather, Gary Bond of Sparta, Ky.; his paternal grandparents, Jim and Elaine Marsh Stephenson of Carrollton; his uncle and aunt, Jason and Robin Floyd Stephenson of Carrollton; his great-uncle and aunt, Darrell and Alice Marsh of Carrollton; and his uncle, Cody Bond, of Carrollton, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Webb and Isabell Adams, Ralph and Dorothy Bond, his paternal great-grandparents, George and Betty Marsh, Jesse and Mabel Stephenson.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Dr. Chris White, the Rev. Jay Montgomery and the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 1, at the Family Worship Center.  Burial will take place at the Stephenson Family Cemetery in Carrollton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the First Baptist Youth or the Kentucky Panther Baseball Club in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements are entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton.
