LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Eslie Emerson Brown, 81, of Las Cruces, N.M., formerly of Carroll County, Ky., died, Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at Mount View Medical Center surrounded by his wife and many good friends.

A memorial service was Sunday, Dec. 16, at Mount View Christian Church on Three Crosses in Las Cruces. La Paz–Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador Ave. in Las Cruces, was entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Brown was born Oct 28, 1931, to Cordie and Walter Brown in Carroll County. He graduated from Carrollton High School in 1950, then served in the U.S. Navy on submarines for four years.
He married Lucille Herron in 1955. He was a truck driver and a farmer and enjoyed woodworking. Mr. Brown was a 57-year member of Carrollton Lodge No. 134 F&AM in Carrollton, and a member of Carroll Chapter No. 442 Order of Eastern Star, also in Carrollton. He was a member and often pastored at Mount View Christian Church in Las Cruces, and was chaplain for the Las Cruces Tea Party. He was well known for his wonderful woodworking at the Saturday morning Craft and Farmers market in Las Cruces.
Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years; and a host of friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Joseph Brown.
