LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Lucille H Brown, 85, of Las Cruces, formerly of Carroll County, Ky. passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her savior on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at La Posada surrounded by her good friends.
Lucille was born May 31, 1932, to Christine and Floyd Herron in Williamstown, Ky.  She graduated from Mason High School.
In 1955 Lucille married the love of her life, Eslie Brown.  She enjoyed many adventures with Eslie during their 57 years of marriage.  She was a seamstress by trade.  She also helped Eslie with their farm in Kentucky.  Once they moved to Las Cruces, they became vendors at the Las Cruces Farmers Market.  Lucille was well known for her crocheting, tatting and quilts at the market.  She made many friends during her time at the market.  Lucille was a member of the Carrollton Chapter No. 442 Order of Eastern Star in Carrollton, Ky.  She was an active member of Mountain View Christian Church and played the piano every Sunday morning for the congregation. 
She is preceeded in death by her husband; her parents; and brothers, Hugh (Margie) and John (Genoa) Herron.
Lucy is survived by her brother Charley (Dorothy) Herron; and many nieces and nephews.  She is also survived by many dear friends that considered her family.  A memorial service was held Saturday, May 5th at Mt. View Christian Church located in Las Cruces.  Her cremains will be interned at a later date at English Cemetery, in English, Ky.
