WORTHVILLE, Ky. – Robert Morrison "Robbie" Rogers Jr., 43, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

Funeral services were Tuesday, March 5, at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton, with the Revs. Pat Butcher and Jerry Knox officiating. Burial was in the Dallasburg Masonic Cemetery in Wheatley, Ky. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was entrusted with arrangements.
Mr. Rogers was born in Frankfort, Franklin County, Ky., on Aug. 11, 1969, the son of the late Robert M. Rogers Sr. and Reba Joyce (Couch) Sharon of Worthville, Ky. He was a corrections officer with the Luther Luckett Corrections Center in La Grange, Ky. In his spare time, he enjoyed, hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Family Worship Center in Carrollton.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Larry D. Sharon of Worthville; a son, Jesse Dillon Rogers of Ghent, Ky.; two daughters, Kaylee Nichole Rogers of Warsaw, Ky., and Serenity Angel Rogers of Worthville; his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Sharon of Worthville; three brothers, Gregory Thomas Rogers of Frankfort, Ky., Joshua James Sharon of Worthville and Christopher Franklin Rogers of Tucson, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Rogers Sr.; his maternal grandmother, Mary Bishop Couch; his maternal grandfather, Frank Couch; and his paternal grandfather, Roy Sharon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Solutions Youth Group in care of the funeral home.
