CARROLTON, Ky.-Dora Patton Maiden, 99, of the English Community of Carrollton, Carroll County, died Monday evening, April 8, 2013, at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12, at 2 p.m. at the English Christian Church with the Rev. Keith Miller officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.. – 2 p.m.. on Friday, at the church. Burial will be in the English Cemetery in Carrollton. Arrangements have been entrusted with the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton.
Mrs. Maiden was born on June 27, 1913, in Rockcastle County, Ky., the daughter of the late Andrew Patton and Ida McQueen Patton. She was a retired cook for Carroll County Schools. She was a member of the English Christian Church.
Survivors include her son, Richard Pat Maiden, of Glencoe, Ky.; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and fifteen great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stoy Maiden, in 2000; a sister, Ruby Meadows Graham; four half-sisters, Mini Carpenter, Ruth Patton, Callie Felabaum and Clara Patton; six half-brothers, John Patton, Joe Patton, L.G. Patton, Shirley Patton, Marvin Lee Patton, and Paul Johnson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the English Christian Church or the St. Elizabeth Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
