COLUMBUS, Ind.-James M. H. "Bubba" Johnson, 41, born, Jan. 12, 1972, in Carroll County, Ky. died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, in Columbus, Ind.
James died at his mother Etta Johnson's home at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. He fought against diabetes for many years. He was a professional truck driver who loved to travel and discover new places. His family was his life. James never had a wife or children. All his nieces and nephews were his children.
Survivors include his mother, Etta Johnson; one sister, Julie (Jay) McIntosh; two brothers, John (Joyce) Taulbee and Christopher E. (Tammy) Taulbee; three nieces, Lea Ann (Joe) Routon; Alyssa Taulbee and Cynthia Taulbee; four nephews, Charles T. Steele, Jonathon Taulbee, Michael Taulbee and Christian Taulbee; and one grand nephew, Jax Routan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Hazel Fegett; and one nephew Jerico Parks.
There will be a memorial service held at 3 p.m. Friday Aug. 23, 2013, at the Eagle Creek Resort Activities Building, off of Hwy. 36 in Carroll County, Ky. The family has asked those attending to please bring a side dish to share. The Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home, 3855 25th Street in Columbus, Ind. was entrusted with the arrangements.
