Danny Somlock
AGE: 89 • South Plainfield
Danny Somlock, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at home. Mr. Somlock was born and raised in Scotch Plains and lived in Raritan before moving to South Plainfield in 1971. He worked many years for the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Bernards Township, and also worked many years for Harris Steel in South Plainfield. Dan served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. He was a member of the Raritan Volunteer Fire Dept., The American Legion Post 1000, and a member of the South Plainfield Seniors enjoying many trips to Atlantic City.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Pauline Harwanko Somlock in 1965, and his second wife, Roseann Carlisle Somlock in 2012. Surviving are two sons, Danny M. Somlock of Raritan, and Edward Kissling of Belmar.
Services will be private under the direction of Scarpa Funeral Home of North Plainfield.
