Marie T. Bilotta
AGE: 87 • Spotswood
Marie Theresa (Murphy) Bilotta, 87, of Spotswood, died Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at St. Peter's University Hospital, New Brunswick, surrounded by her devoted and loving family.
Born May 7, 1925, in Peckville, Pennsylvania, to Anna (Layden) and Brendan Murphy, Marie was raised in Jessup, Pennsylvania, settling in Spotswood 65 years ago. She was a homemaker who cherished time spent with her family; a very special person with a heart of gold who would do anything for family, friends, and even total strangers without anyone ever asking. Her love and kindness will live on within everyone that knew her and she will never be forgotten. There is no doubt that Marie was the most devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend that God could have ever created. She was also a long-time member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Spotswood and its Rosary Society.
Predeceased by her loving husband of 46 years, Anthony J. Bilotta in 1990, whom she dearly missed, her six month old baby sister, Nan Murphy, her brothers, Brendan and James Murphy, she is survived by her son, Joseph A. Bilotta, of Jessup, PA, formerly of Spotswood; her devoted daughter, Ann Marie Jura of Spotswood; her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Mary Theresa, Joseph Anthony and Ann Marie Jura, all of Spotswood, who don't how they'll survive without the "Heart of Their Family" and; many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
Marie is now being greeted in Heaven by all of her loving family, her husband and her first grandchild who is an Angel in Heaven.
Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning with a 7:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment will follow at 11:30 AM in Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Greenfield Twp., PA. The family will receive friends today (Friday) from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Spotswood Funeral Home, 475 Main Street, Spotswood.
