AGE: 100 • Seaside Park
Evelyn Maurer (nee Swanson) 100 of Seaside Park, NJ passed away peacefully at home on September 11, 2013. She was born and raised in Yardville Heights, NJ then after 15 years in Yardley, PA she retired permanently in Seaside Park, NJ in 1964. In their youth, Evelyn and her late husband, Matthew, spent many happy times in Seaside Park Surf fishing and crabbing on the Barnegat bay in their boat.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Matthew Joseph Maurer in 1989, her beloved granddaughter Susan B. Love, her granddaughter Diane's husband Jeffrey Ornstein, 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Gail and Robert Love of Delray Beach, FL and Marilyn and William Casey of Seaside Park, NJ. Also surviving is her beloved granddaughter Dianne Love of Pompano Beach, FL.
Evelyn was blessed with a full and healthy life among loving family, friends and caring neighbors, all while living in the places she loved best Yardley, PA, Jensen Beach, FL and Seaside Park, NJ. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Committal will be private per her wishes.
